A question that I’ve been asked occasionally is: With everything that’s changed in the environment from when we first developed Nutrition Response Testing to now, how much has the base technique had to be altered to accommodate what’s happening in the environment?

Recently I have been going through my original written materials. I am reorganizing and refining them so that we can do more to deliver more long distance training. I’m reading the stuff I wrote 20 years ago and I’m continually amazed as I do this. Nothing in it has changed. If anything, it’s strengthened.

I’m continuously amazed at how workable this stuff is. Because the fact is, it’s based on human anatomy and human physiology. And the fact that the environment is changing hasn’t changed human anatomy and human physiology. The key here is that the basics are even more important.

I have a friend here in town. He’s a very high-volume chiropractor. Every once in a while he’ll be stumped by some patient and he’ll ask me if I can come in and look at this person. I’ve never ceased to be amazed at how easily these cases are resolved.

The level at which these cases actually end up resolving is at the level of the material covered in the Welcome to Nutrition Response Testing Online Course. This is obviously amplified in the Nutrition Response Testing 3-Day Workshop where you learn how to apply each of the 13 steps better. It is then super amplified in the Professional Level Clinical Training Program which really takes you in depth into the expanded basics. Those basics have not changed.

What has changed is how we use some of the products and the fact that we’ve had to look for some additional products for certain types of situations to get the patient over the hump.

But the basic philosophy hasn’t changed. The muscle testing procedure hasn’t changed at all, it’s just gotten better and better and easier and easier to apply. This technique has withstood the test of time.

If you compare that to the standard medical model: the standard medical model continues to develop new techniques and new drugs and this and that. Nothing ever gets better. If anything it only gets worse.

There’s a good reason for that, they are missing the most important basic principle. This is something that I grew up with as a chiropractor, which is the healing power of the body. There was a Latin phrase that we were taught in chiropractic college which was “Vis medicatrix naturae”, which is the healing power of nature. They were talking about the natural ability of the body to heal itself, which is totally controlled by the autonomic nervous system.

The major reason why medicine continues to fail in this area of chronic illness is they bypass the autonomic nervous system with the drug. In order to get an effective drug they need to change a symptom, change a blood finding, etc. What they are doing is bypassing the autonomic nervous system.

Our approach is to find out what it would take to get the autonomic nervous system functioning better. To the degree that we accomplish this, the patient’s body, supported properly, will handle the health challenge. I hate to use the word “disease” because that’s just a symptom, the disease is a symptom of ill health.
